hi e! love the polaroid strip :)
that’s a great deal, Elise! You’re probably already booked up …. you’re so talented!!
Now that Gemma’s mummy and daddy have seen all their images from last weeks session, I thought I would show you some more from our session. As you can see Gemma loves to poke her tongue out, so cute, but it was hard to find images where she doesn’t have it out, hey I’m not complaining, I would rather see her little tongue than big tears. I am still crushing on her big blue eyes, I am such a sucker for blue eyes.. probably because mine are brown. One year olds are fast and unpredictable but one of my favourite ages to shoot.
Happy Tuesday!

Love the tongue :) What a gorgeous little girl!
It is always awesome to be ‘in the know’ to be able to have the inside goss and it’s even better to be one of the first to sample something before all your friends, it makes you feel special.. Well it makes ME feel special haha.
I was lucky enough to be ‘in the know’ when Kelsey Anderson was considering releasing her first set of Adobe Lightroom Presets. Well I have also been lucky enough to test drive her new presets called ‘Vegas Baby’ and I LOVE them, especially her famous black and white. Kelsey has a very unique style of processing which has seen her receive countless emails begging and pleading to know her recipes, so she has done what every savvy business woman does and released them to the wild public. She has them on sale at the moment as a promotional price but I know this won’t be lasting long so if you are smart you will snap them up now. Oh and just so you can feel special with some inside goss… stay tuned as I am going to be having a giveaway of these awesome presets within the next few days ;)
Below you can see my photo’s Straight Out Of Camera (SOOC) followed by my processing with KAP’s new fab presets.

oooh love a good give away!
Love what you did with these Elise :)
Yesterday after our session with Gemma, my assistant Rosalie and I stopped for lunch at Clipper Cafe in Glebe, I have been once before and loved it so decided it was time to go back. I love the quirky quaintness and random bicycles on the walls. Oh and the food is pretty darn good too ;)
Being photographers and all, it’s hard to go anywhere without our cameras (we didn’t want to leave them in the car either), all too often random snaps like these don’t make it out of the camera let alone edited and shown to anyone, so i thought I would share some of the many photos we took while I enjoyed my banana & mango smoothie and Rose sipped her tea.
The first two photos (of me) were taken by Rose, she is going to be an amazing photographer, her thirst for knowledge in the form of a million and one questions along with her push for impromptu photo shoots on the drive home tells me this girl is not going to stop until she has mastered her craft. I help as much as I can as I love to teach and share my knowledge and she always has something to teach me too (usually about men haha).

who can make having tea look so cool? I love the story board and your details are -as always- amazing.
I was thinking the same thing as steph! You make drinking tea look so good! I have a special love for details…and I looove your attention to detail. Mmmm…going to grab myself a cup of green tea ; )
I agree with the other 2 comments, you make drinking tea look great :) what a cute place too.
I just spent a lovely 2 days in Terrigal with some of my awesome photographer friends. Eating. Drinking. Laughing. and some photography of course!
Here is a little peek at some images from Jen & Craigs’ session. They are getting married in Kiama early next year and have booked Nicole (my super awesome assistant for newborn sessions) as their wedding photographer and after meeting them I have stuck my hand up for the job of second photographer on the day, they are just lovely.
Well it was nice to have a weekend off photographing babies and now I am wonderfully inspired for wedding season.

A perfect way to start my week, there was actually nothing blue about this Monday morning well besides Gemma’s super cute outfit and the blue/green theme throughout her beautifully decorated home. Gemma probably won’t remember this home as it has just sold and she will soon be moving into a new home, so I was absolutely honourd to be able to capture her in the home she spent the first year of her life. She is turning one this Saturday so a huge happy birthday to you Gemma, enjoy your party :)

Those are fantastic!!! I want to get some stamped jewelry for me with my kids names. Going to check out this shop! Thanks!
What a fantastic idea, gives it a lovely special touch… I want to order something from you now just for the love stamp (and I guess the incredible photos)! =)
Elise, this is such a great idea. I really love it. You rock! Is this included in your July package? :) I may have to fly to Australia ….
Mikaela, you will have to wait until your session at the end of the year :)
Steph, fly away, would love to have you come stay :)
Thank you sooo much again Elise, for our beautiful photos that we will treasure forever and of course for the extra special birthday present of the chocolate kisses. You are very sweet indeed.
xxxx
Jayne, you are so very welcome, it makes me very happy that you love your photo’s so much. The little extras were my pleasure, I hope you had a lovely day and have figured out your new iphone by now ;)
Adelaide, Katherine and Griffith are all Australian cities, they also make up the name of this sweet little girl, though she spells her Catherine with a C not K. ;)
I usually only photograph newborns under 14 days old, but seeing I was lucky enough to photograph Beck’s maternity session, no way was I going to turn away the opportunity to meet this little lady. She was the most well behaved 3 week old I have had, bless her.
Now that her name is no longer a surprise, I can show off these photo’s from the maternity session too, I was not allowed to post them before. I felt pretty special knowing her name before anyone else. And one sneaky shot from our newborn session.
Welcome to the world Adelaide.

Oh just perfect, a great set of photos, and congrats to them!
oh, geez – so cute!!!
Two months ago I took these photo’s of my Nanna as we listened to stories about her life and ate fish and chips for lunch.
Just 8 days ago, I sat in a chair next to my Nanna’s bed in Concord Hospital, chatting about life, about death, about family and friends. Her telling me the kind of man I should be with. Her telling me how much my mum loves me (not that I needed to be told) her telling me how much she loves my mum (not that she needed to say). We sat eating cheese and biscuits poking fun at her gay doctor’s strange clothing choices, she told him his jacket was nice and laughed so hard when he actually believed her. She has a wicked sense of humor which has not for one moment left her as she slips away from us. What also has not left her is her bossyness, as I helped her up to go to the bathroom she snapped orders at me and I will even cherish those moments.
Today, I sat next to her bed and watched her slip in and out of consciousness, no longer able to get out of bed as she now has 2 broken hips, her bones are so brittle and breaking so easy. He eyesight has failed in just a matter of days and when she is awake she is not making much sense. My mum told me today how the other day she was mumbling something to her and my Aunt and neither could understand what she was saying until she clearly states “I have two stupid daughters” too funny she is.
My sister has been collecting stories from Nanna’s amazing memory vault, she has been writing them down however Nan has started to slip so much faster than we thought and Jade has not able to get too many stories. As they say, “When an old man dies, a library burns down” in this case, an old woman. With her goes so many stories, so many amazing recipes and so much history, so much heart and so much soul.
Yesterday was my Pop’s birthday, Jade said she had a feeling that she might go yesterday, that Pop was there pulling her from us for his birthday party. We received a call at 9pm saying she may not make it through the night, we sit and play a horrible waiting game and I hope it happens soon, it’s time and she is ready to go, we have said goodbye.
As I said in my ANZAC Day post, it will be her strength and wisdom that will pull me though this, her words will forever be on my mind “everyone has a beginning and an end”.
I love you Nanna from the bottom of my soul, I have no doubt I will see you and Pop again, I hope I have made and continue to make you both proud. I miss you already.
Let go now.

I have one regret. Being a photographer I always have a camera in hand.. I don’t have a photo of my nan and me!
And with a tear in my eye, give me the sweetest goodbye that I ever did receive.

I’m so sorry for your loss. What an amazing tribute to your nanna.
an amazing tribute indeed. I see where you get your appreciation for tea, too.
I am sorry for your loss.
Love, Steph
Today is my niece Ruby’s 3rd birthday, we had a great kid filled celebration yesterday at the indoor play centre in Wyong, man that place is pretty sweet if you are a kid, if you are prone to headaches, not so sweet! Much fairy bread, cheezles, cake and more cake was consumed.. and boy did I feel sick :P
As we were leaving I took my niece, nephew Taj and two of their little friends, Zoe and Tyler, off for a quick photoshoot. Love some of the shots I was able to get of the little posers.
Happy Birthday Ruby, and Happy Birthday to my Poppy.. he would have been 91 today, Nanna is on her way to you Pop and I have given her a message to give to you. Miss you loads and loads and I hope I am making you proud. xo
