The Peoples Baby | Sydney Maternity Photographer

After weeks of rain & canceled shoots, I was thrilled when the rain mostly held off for this long awaited maternity session at Paddington Reservoir Gardens, and the icing on the cake was the glorious sunset we were blessed with as we arrived at Centennial Park. Double awesome!

This isn’t the first time I have photographed this couple, the first time was their engagement shoot, then it was their wedding, then their baby announcement photo and now their maternity and next, in just a few weeks, their newborn session. These two are not just clients of mine, Nicole and I met working for the same company shooting weddings 6 years ago, we hit it off imminently, which I think was due to our shared love of talking and the long car rides between locations on a wedding day. Now I would consider her one of my best friends, and I feel so lucky to be able to capture the continuing milestones for her and her husband John. I cannot wait to meet their first second baby (Alfie, the Beaglier, is their first baby, though lets hope their second isn’t as furry), and witness Nicole and John as doting parents to a life created by them (sorry Alfie you were adopted!).

So just a small mention as to why I have dubbed this bump “The Peoples Baby” – Nicole and John have been one of those couples to whom falling pregnant didn’t happen so easily, as months then years ticked by, I think I heard a collective sigh of relief ripple across Sydney the moment they shared the long awaited news with their friends and family. I know many of Nicoles friends, including myself, have been along for the ups and downs of this journey to bring a little life into the world. This is “The Peoples Baby” and not at all taking away from their own private joy and personal moments, as this means this baby is going to feel a whole lot of extra love from many people.
