A little about Jo and Lovestamp:
Jo Petrie is the owner and creator of Love Stamp, she designs and creates unique personalised keepsakes that have become the hottest new trend in gift giving and self spoiling. Jo lives in Noosa Heads Queensland Australia, she is a devoted wife and work at home mummy (WAHM) with two gorgeous kidlets, a 9year old girl who goes by Ruby-Star and Hudson who is 4 years old.
A little Q&A
How did Lovestamp come about?
Lovestamp was born out me wanting to get back to work after having my babies. I have always been creative, studying Art & Design and Interior Design in my 20’s. I tried a couple different things but this is the one thing that I love and found other people loved too..hence Lovestamp was born.
How long has Lovestamp been in business?
Lovestamp has been in business almost 2 years.
What inspires you in business?
My clients. They inspire me with their stories behind the pieces. I am always getting emails about why the piece is being made, who it is for. Some are very sad, but most a just beautiful stories. They all keep me inspired. I also want to create something that everyone can have. Everyone should be able to have something special, just for them.
What Inspires you in life?
Where do I start. Firstly my Mum. She was a single mum with two children. She worked hard, is still working hard, but no matter what she always encouraged and loved us to the best of her ability, and always puts us first. My family, my friends..I am also very much inspired by others int he Handmade world, their creativity is amazing. A little closer to home..travel, the ocean, music and art.
What is your favourite piece from your collection?
My favourite piece in the collection at the moment is the the Rondure bracelet. I just love it!
Have you ever made anything for anyone famous?
A couple of reporters from some of the networks..but not really yet..working on it though…anyone got Angelina’s number!
Have you ever been published?
Yes, I have been published in Shop4Kids, LittleONebaby, Sunshine Coast Daily, Practical Parenting Magazine, Peppermint and a couple of others.
What goes into making a piece?
Lots of love and time. Each letter is put on the piece individually by hand so it is a process that is for sure..but I love seeing the end result as no two are ever the same.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Hopefully, still running Lovestamp and making more people happy…with my house renovation finished, my children happy and healthy and with more time to read and sit on the beach!
