With the threatening of rain (true London style) all morning, Sally and Mark were absolutely blessed with blue skies and sunshine, they were also blessed with the amazing friends and family surrounding them, may of whom traveled from the other side of the world to be by their side on their day. It was very obvious that their wedding was a little less about them and more about their family and friends. A truly beautiful couple inside and out, I myself wish them so much love and happiness for the many years ahead of them.

I also thought I would take this moment to announce a little secret I have been holding onto for a while, mid 2012, my wonderful man and I will be making the big move to London! Settling down for a year or two and I will be given the opportunity to photograph some wonderful English weddings and families. (Please don’t rain!! haha). This decision has not been easy as I will temporarily be leaving my beloved clients in Australia, however.. I will be soon introducing a wonderful wonderful woman who will be ‘the new Elise’ while I am away.. So leCoCo is NOT closing it’s doors to all the beautiful families in need of gorgeous memories captured. I will still be blogging and be keeping in touch on my Facebook page and of course emails and all that businessy stuff. We are very excited about this adventure and I am looking forward to setting up my business in London, and the opportunities this will mean for leCoCo.

After a week of rain, we were hopelessly hoping for some wonderful weather as Christine and Gavin said ‘I do’ in a little chapel upon a cliff at HMAS Watson in Sydney. To our shock and delight we were blessed with blue skies and sunshine. This ‘no fuss’ couple then took a short stole along the waterfront before joining their guests at Dunbar House for an elegant lunch reception. A beautiful low key wedding surrounded by their dearest of friends… what more could you want?

I received a text message from this gorgeous bride-to-be saying “I have an appreciation package for you”, I knew she was working on Save The Date gift bags for her guests so I assumed that it was one for me as I told her I wanted to photograph it. I arrived to pick it up and was handed a big box and a bag.. totally confused I asked what it was for, she said to say thank you for their engagement photo. I was so blown away, it was so unbelievably sweet of Jess and Corey to give me a macaroon cookbook, a couple of bottles of wine and some tasty sweet treats which were enjoyed that evening with a glass of wine :)

The effort she put in and the beautiful words written in the card completely made my day.. my week even. Thank you J-J and Corey xxx

This is the second of the two weddings I recently photographed in Canberra with Beata from Beez Images. The bride Alana was not only stunning but super duper cute as a button. I don’t usually gush like this and I think Beata summed it up perfectly as we left the wedding, our face plastered with huge smiles, “I just want to pick her up, put her in my pocket and take her home with me”, I couldn’t agree more!

Yesterday, while dodging raindrops and the odd lizard, I photographed this gorgeous couple. In a few weeks I will have the pleasure of capturing Shona and Robs second wedding, unfortunately I am not photographing their first wedding which is to be held in Scotland at the end of March, I did offer! :)

A couple of weeks ago I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Allen and Ann, we met at Nurragingy Reserve on a very hot Friday afternoon, seeing the session was kind of last minute I had not had the chance to chat with them and hear their story, I was in for a lovely surprise.

When they arrived I started to get to know them a little by asking about how they met and how Allan had proposed, as their story unfolded I felt more and more blessed to be standing there at that moment.. The Story: they had met in 2003 in Jordan, where they are both from. Ann has been living in Sydney for the past 2 years while Allen lived in Jordan, I asked if they had been traveling back and forward between Jordan and Australia… nope, they had not seen each other in two years, as Allen said “Skype is my favourite technology ever”. He had proposed over Skype 3 weeks before and was here for their engagement party. Allen had arrived the week before and was leaving a week later but would be back in 10 months for their wedding. I felt blessed to be able to capture these precious moments between them and I hope these photos make them smile while they are apart from each other for the next 10 months.

I just wanted to share a few photos from yesterdays wedding pictorial, we had so much fun at this gorgeous location, it’s not often I get to photograph weddings in this type of setting and still be in Sydney :)

We were blessed with gorgeous weather (yummy light), a gorgeously cute couple along with a fabulous “Best Man” and Maid of Honour. What more could you ask for… oh wait… finding an old picture frame in the shed? YES! haha

I am in the process of catching up on all my blogging, however I knew when I started this new blog that my first post (apart from the intro) would be from a gorgeous wedding I photographed back in November… yeah I know, very late!

I dont know if I have ever come across such a beaming bride, seriously Judy was unable to wipe the smile from her face and her grin is infectious. She later said to me “I am worried.. I know I had the most ridiculious smile on my face all day” to which I replied “yes you did and I captured every moment”.

Some weddings, for me, remind me why in this world we choose to love, why we choose just one person to love. This wedding was one of those, the adoration in which Stew looked at Judy the entire day, and the happiness radiating from this stunning bride really made my heart smile.

So I would like you to stand and raise your glass… to LOVE!
