I also thought I would take this moment to announce a little secret I have been holding onto for a while, mid 2012, my wonderful man and I will be making the big move to London! Settling down for a year or two and I will be given the opportunity to photograph some wonderful English weddings and families. (Please don’t rain!! haha). This decision has not been easy as I will temporarily be leaving my beloved clients in Australia, however.. I will be soon introducing a wonderful wonderful woman who will be ‘the new Elise’ while I am away.. So leCoCo is NOT closing it’s doors to all the beautiful families in need of gorgeous memories captured. I will still be blogging and be keeping in touch on my Facebook page and of course emails and all that businessy stuff. We are very excited about this adventure and I am looking forward to setting up my business in London, and the opportunities this will mean for leCoCo.

6 weeks ago I received a much awaited email from the fabulous team behind Mathilda’s Markets letting me know that I was one of the lucky people to be holding a stall at the upcoming Sydney market day in Moore Park. Like the lead up to Christmas it was a very busy yet slow wait, then all over much too quickly! The day just flew by. So a very early start had us up before the sun to pack and head to Moore Park where we set up our stall with over a hundred other stall holders and eagerly awaited the crowds, and boy were there crowds, and prams.. soooo many prams! :)

My friend and fellow photographer Rosalie was so kind to also get up at a silly hour and come help me set up and also help me throughout the day. She was just fabulous, I couldn’t have done it without her! Thank you Rose xx

I spent the past 6 weeks organising my stall and I was so so thrilled with how it all worked out. All my hard work and the hard work of my wonderful father (painting lattice and making the stand to hold it, and then late night packing macaroons with me) was well worth it. My mum also did her bit to help out and came to visit me on the stand, my parents support is priceless to me.

My stall was parked between two wonderful businesses owned by two lovely women. To me right was Kate from Please Eloise, selling gorgeous hair clips, headbands and the like. To my left was Lilly from Lilly Lolly Love, showing off all her handmade goodness, toy bins, bibs, and super cute smock bibs. They too had to spend the day eying off my macaroons though they were given a sweet treat (or 10) from me at the end for all their hard work :)

My first market has been deemed a success and I cannot wait for the next!

A huge thank you to all the wonderful customers who made the markets a huge success. It was great to meet so many of you, to see so many glowing mothers-to-be and gorgeous children, I look forward to meeting with many of you again to help you document your growing families.

This year we received a very secretive invite telling us to ‘dress in lazy wear’. So on Sunday, a number of us wonderful photographers descended upon Saxon Cole HQ, dressed in our laziest of wear (Nicole took it a step further with her uggies and bed socks haha, I threatened to wear my snuggie but chose not to). We arrived and were greeted with a huge feast for lunch then were told what was install for us, bowling followed by laser skirmish! Like true children we all groaned to Ma & Pa SC about that not being a ‘lazy wear’ occasion, I also complained of a sore hip which some miraculously got better for my bowling victory dance, however we all went along (some of us having to go buy some socks) and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were teamed against a group of 8 year old for laser skirmish… and lost! My hostage tactics obviously failed but we had a ball!

And in true Saxon Cole form we were presented with a super special gift for all our hard work this past 6 months… edible CF cards!! (for those who do not know, a CF card is the memory card for our professional cameras)

The effort she put in and the beautiful words written in the card completely made my day.. my week even. Thank you J-J and Corey xxx
