A few weeks ago I had the absolute pleasure of being invited along to capture this blue eyed beauty in celebration for her first birthday. Scarlett adores her puppy Nelly, so much so that she even has no issue sharing her dummy. We all had a fun time chasing Nelly to get the dummy back, Scarlett just watched on in great amusement. I hope you had a fab first birthday Miss Scarlett!! xoxox

This session was suppose to take place last Thursday, but a sick child changed those plans and we had to postpone! Those who know me well know my motto “Everything Happens for a Reason” when things are tough and dark clouds hover over me or when things just don’t go to plan, I remind myself of this, even if I cannot always see what the reason may be, I know that there is one. When my Nan passed away last year I reminded myself of this and it helped me though. I even use this motto with the small things, having to postpone this session.. I knew there was a reason (besides a sick kidlet).. that reason I now believe is so that we would have the opportunity to capture these amazing photos, Thursday was raining very hard, Sunday was gorgeous.. EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON!

I was delighted to finally meet these two spunks.. Hunter, who is almost 8 weeks, and his big brother Jack, 16 mths. More photos to come soon :)

This cheeky little munchkin goes by the name of Charlotte, and occasionally answers to it too :)

Last year I had the absolute pleasure of being her friend, playing with her, feeding her and of course dressing her up pretty for photo shoots. Capturing a day in the life of little miss Charlotte was loads of fun. Here are just a select few from many many photographs taken of this baby girl.

I miss her cute as anything toothy grin and pokey-out tongue, her giggle that I sometimes swear she was putting on to make me think I was funny. I miss her random outburst of yelling for nothing, and I think I maybe even miss her little tantrums… maybe! Most off all I miss her vast aray of expressions but I feel I was able to so beautifuly capture these that they will never be forgotten as she grows and changes.

I hear from her mum that she is getting super fast, almost walking and climbing on everything! Go Girl!!

Now that Gemma’s mummy and daddy have seen all their images from last weeks session, I thought I would show you some more from our session. As you can see Gemma loves to poke her tongue out, so cute, but it was hard to find images where she doesn’t have it out, hey I’m not complaining, I would rather see her little tongue than big tears. I am still crushing on her big blue eyes, I am such a sucker for blue eyes.. probably because mine are brown. One year olds are fast and unpredictable but one of my favourite ages to shoot.

A perfect way to start my week, there was actually nothing blue about this Monday morning well besides Gemma’s super cute outfit and the blue/green theme throughout her beautifully decorated home. Gemma probably won’t remember this home as it has just sold and she will soon be moving into a new home, so I was absolutely honourd to be able to capture her in the home she spent the first year of her life. She is turning one this Saturday so a huge happy birthday to you Gemma, enjoy your party :)

This blue eyed beauty was the winner of my mother’s day contest. I was so excited for this session, mostly because Jayne, Charli’s mummy was so excited, it was infectious and I just knew we would have fun. It was such a relaxed, laid back session that I wish could have gone all evening. I am just in love with her eyes, and her smile, even her crying face is super cute!

During the session, as my attention was on Charli, mum and dad were ‘props’ in the background so I told them to chat amongst themselves… “rhubarb, rhubarb, rhubarb” was the chosen topic, apparently extras in movies/tv shows say this in the background when they need to look like they are having a conversation, I found it hilarious and it became the standard ‘extras’ chat for the session.

I had such a great time and loved meeting your little family. Thank you for being so welcoming.

This little miss is only 10 months old however I can already tell she has strong likes and dislikes…

Ocienne likes… her mummy and daddy laughing silly, crawling really fast, eating grass, being thrown in the air, my camera strap (its a pretty Pepper strap), milk, did I mention eating grass?.. ok well trying to eat grass.

Ocienne dislikes… my camera!… at first she was intrigued, that didn’t last long, she was not so happy with being the centre of attention.

I have to mention also that she has the most gorgeous wardrobe, she had more dress changes than Kylie Minogue and each one better than the last, is it wrong to have wardrobe envy of a 10 month old? Best dressed little girl around.
